I noticed 18k gold comes in different depths of yellow. Both my 18k gold chain and pendant don’t match. Why?!

Even though both are the same purity they may have different alloys. There’s no 24K gold found in nature. It has to be processed pure then a certain amount of alloy added to it to give it hardness. Different mfgs. have slightly different recipes, or different mixtures of the silvery or grayish metals. A different mixture from a different mfg. could make the two items look totally different.
